Frequently asked questions
Can foreigners buy?
Yes. Ownership is fee simple, and foreign buyers have the same ownership rights as Costa Ricans. Every lot is fully entitled.
What are the HOA fees?
Senderos is a registered horizontal condominium with a mandatory HOA. Fees are roughly $200–$400 a month depending on lot size, phase and amenity access. We can confirm the figure for a specific homesite.
What does the HOA cover?
Security and access control, roads and drainage, common-area landscaping, administration and reserves, and upkeep of the amenities as they're added.
Do I have to build right away?
No. Lot-only purchases are allowed, so you can buy now and build when you're ready. When you are, we can help you start the process: the Architects Guild introduces the Senderos architects, and we'll help you interview them to find the right fit for you. Each phase has a window for starting construction, so ask us for the timeline on a specific homesite.
Can I rent my home?
Yes. Senderos is home to many of the premium short-term rentals in the Tamarindo area and has a strong track record of rental performance. Owners are asked to put reasonable controls in place to avoid party rentals.
